1. What models of Samsung TV are supported?
Our app can work on any Samsung Smart TV manufactured in 2011 and later. If you don’t know in which year your TV was made, please look for the letter after the screen size number in the device’s model number (D, E, F, H, J, K, Q & M stand for 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017 respectively).

Example: If the device’s model number is UE55(F)8000AFXZ, the letter for manufacture years is F, and means the TV was made in the year of 2013.

  2. Should I allow incoming connection on my Samsung TV when I stream to it the first time?
The first time when you try to stream media files to your Samsung TV, there might be a message showing up on the screen of your TV: “A new device has been detected. Do you want to allow it to access this product?” At this point, please select “Allow”, and the streaming should start just fine.

If you, however, clicked “Deny” by mistake, you can easily remedy this undesired situation by following the instructions listed in the answer below.

  3. The first time streaming video/audio to my Samsung TV I clicked “Deny” on the TV by mistake. Is there a way to remedy this?
Yes, you can easily remedy this undesired situation by following the instructions listed below.

If your TV is from 2011 to 2014:
On your Samsung TV, please go to Network/Allshare Settings/Content Sharing, and select the device with “Denied” next to it. Click it and change the setting to “Allow”. Then you can stream media files to your TV just fine.

If your TV is from 2015 to 2017:
On your Samsung TV, please go to Network/Multimedia Device Manager, find the device with “Denied” and select “Allow”. Then you can stream media files to your TV just fine.

  4. I can't pause the playback. What does the error "701. Transition not available" mean?
If the format of a transmitted file is not natively supported by the TV, or the "Use native playback when supported" option is disabled in the Streaming settings, it will be converted to a format supported by the device when transferring the file on the fly. With this method of transferring the file, some functions may not be available, in particular the Pause function.

Tip: Keep the "Use native playback when supported" option checked.

  5. When I start broadcasting a file to the TV, the error "705. Transport is locked" is displayed. How can I fix it?
This error means that the DLNA function on your TV is currently blocked by some other application. Turn off the TV and unplug the power cord from the socket. Wait a few seconds, plug the power cord back into the socket, then turn on the TV and start streaming the file.
