If you have a public IP address and wish to improve Flexihub connection speed and switch to direct connection mode but don't have UPnP or it is not accessible because of security policies you should set up Port Forwarding.

To establish a direct connection in Flexihub, please follow the steps below:

  1. Make sure you have a public IP address.
  2. To set up port forwarding, open your router as admin and find the port forwarding options. The name can be different for every router. Here is the example for TP-Link
  3. Specify port 5000 under both the Internal and External boxes. Type the IP address of your machine. Save changes.
  4. Open RegEdit (press Win+R on the keyboard, type regedit, and click OK). Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Electronic Team\Flexihub
    Right-click -> New -> DWORD (32-bit) Value. Name it
    allow_external_mappings
    Set its value to 1
    See the screenshot:

    Reboot your machine and try establishing the connection in FlexiHub. You should see a green icon, and the connection speed will be improved dramatically now.
