Manual Pairing

If for any reason, you can’t connect the devices neither via QR code nor via pairing code, you can try manual pairing. For this:

  1. In MacDroid, click the “Manual pairing” button.

  2. On your Android device, go to Developers options -> Wireless debugging -> Pair device with pairing code

  3. Enter the information, shown on your Android device into the corresponding fields, namely IP address, port, and 6-digit code

  4. Click the “Pair” button.

For Android versions up to 10

  1. On your Android device, go to the Wi-Fi settings (Settings -> Connections -> Wi-Fi) and select the Wi-Fi network you're connected to.

  2. In the Network details, find IP address, which is your Wi-Fi IP address on your device.

  3. Insert the IP address information shown on your Android device into the corresponding fields in MacDroid.

  4. Click the “Connect” button.

Alternatively, connect your device once via a USB cable, and MacDroid will try to make a wireless connection automatically.

Note: Make sure your Android device and your Mac are connected to the same Wi-Fi network and the USB debugging mode is enabled on your Android device.
