On macOS Sequoia, Apple introduced a new option in Privacy & Security — restricting apps from accessing the local network. Therefore, if streaming is not working on macOS Sequoia, make sure that you have enabled Local Network access in your System Settings.
To do this, open System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network. 
If the option for the player is turned off, enable it. If you have already granted this permission, try turning it off and on again.
